Interact and learn. It is recommended to strike a conversation with the people of Indang. Listen to their stories and you might learn something. It is best to discover every bit of Indang’s history and culture by talking to its citizens.
Never come unprepared. Most of us are overwhelmed with excitement that we forget to bring essential things in case a disaster arrives. Be sure to remember to bring first aid kits, flashlight, water, and food. This is to make sure that you are ready for unexpected disaster.
Do patronize. It is important to show gratitude by patronizing Indang. Because of Western cultures, our own way of life was drastically affected. Places like Indang has a few people who still practice ancient Philippine tradition. By buying simple souvenirs or promoting their traditions would surely help preserve Indang’s culture.
Always be sensitive. A simple litter thrown, plucking of plants, and vandalism can have a huge impact in a community and change the perspective on how they view tourists and “outsiders.” Always remember to respect your surroundings, not just in Indang, but also in other places you visit.
Never break laws. Being a tourist does necessarily mean that you are not aware of the law. Before going to Indang, be sure to do research on the laws they uphold there. By doing this, you just don’t gain knowledge but also the Indang residents’ respect.
Good mood affects your surroundings. Being jolly and smiling is infectious. People would contract your happiness, hence, people from Indang would be more hospitable and accommodating. Who knows, you might gain friends in the course of your trip to Indang.
